Queering Taiwan Popular Music in Mainland China: From Daily Listening to Cross-Strait Queer Imagination

Based on ethnographic research with queer audiences of Taiwanese music in mainland China, this thesis examines how everyday listening practices in highly normative social contexts can generate alternative political and social imagination.
